So the boys barely had time to clean up after scout camp, and we threw them in the car and headed for Salt Lake City. We had tickets to go see a major league soccer match, Real Salt Lake (RSL) against the New York Red Bulls. First we drove as far as Farmington and stopped at Kendall's grandparent's house for dinner, and then continued on to Salt Lake for the game. It was great because RSL won 3-0!

After the game on Saturday we went back to Farmington to stay for the night so that we didn't have to drive all the way to Newton. Then the next day (Sunday), we went back to Salt Lake City to see some of the sights. And now after a day of sightseeing we are finally back in Newton, and I'm sure Kanta hopes it will be a quieter week :)

In front of Rio Tinto Stadium, where our favorite soccer team in America plays!

Kanta and I waited while Julie, Gabby, and Kendall went to buy treats at halftime during the game. Kanta thought it would be a good time to take pictures.

Real Salt Lake (in red) and the New York Red Bulls (in white). We beat them!

After the soccer game, Kendall and Kanta were playing in the room where we set up their beds. I thought they would be tired, but they were having fun kicking a ball around and jumping on the beds!

In front of the Salt Lake Temple. It was a beautiful day!

This picture was taken inside the visitor's center on Temple Square, in front the statue called the "Christus". Our guide took this picture, which is why I am in it.

While we were in the Conference Center, the boys noticed that a multi-colored light was shining down on the seats, so because they are boys they HAD to go investigate...

...and this is what happened when Kanta put his head underneath the light!

This is on top of the Conference Center. Our guides were very friendly, and one was from Hiroshima so she was able to explain the sights to Kanta better than we could.

Walking on the roof of the Conference Center. I like this picture because both Kanta and Kendall are jumping and having fun at the same time.

Standing in front of the Utah State Capitol Building up on Capitol Hill.

Standing next to a weird bison statue at the tourist bureau.

Kendall's uncle Christopher brought his remote control car to grandma's house for the boys to play with.

We walked past some horses and Kendall, Kanta, and Gabby all picked some green grass to feed the horses.

Looking at some buffalo (bison) behind a very strong fence.

Kanta walking with Kendall's little cousin Reed.

Kendall and Kanta doing handstands during our Sunday evening walk.
