Every day they had to do different jobs. On this morning, Kendall and Kanta had to cook breakfast. Sometimes they cooked, sometimes they cleaned, but they always had a small job to do. Probably their least favorite part about camp!
We did a five mile hike on Wednesday. It was obvious that Kanta was strong, because he stayed in front and never looked tired...
In this game, the boys had to figure out how to get all of them over a "fence". The rule was that nobody could touch the fence or they had to start over. Here they are trying to help the biggest boy get over the fence...
Kendall and Kanta made bows and arrows at their archery class. Kanta decided the best way to carry the bow was to tuck it in the back of his shirt...
This is a game where you have to try to push a rock with a big stick into your opponent's hole, and not let them push the rock into your hole. Kanta was really good at this game. Ok, Kanta was really good at every game!
On the last day of canoeing they had to "swamp" the canoe, which means intentionally flipping the canoe upside-down in the water and then turning it upright again. They had already flipped the canoe upright before I arrived to take pictures, but you can see the boys in the background were still having trouble!
They were so cold from the lake water that as they returned to camp they ran to each sunny spot they could find just to stay warm.
They learned skills at different classes. This one was leather work, and in another class they learned wood carving.
Kendall and Kanta worked very hard every day to get better at archery...and had fun at the same time!
One of the competitions was called "Ninja Destruction" (a game our family loves to play), and it turned out that Kanta was very good at it!
